Support Target:

The main business of the Applicant must be one of the following types:

• Asset management (AUM > US$1B)
• Fintech (post series A equivalent & valuation > $20M)
• Financial Services

 

Eligibility Requirements (MUST READ):

The Applicant must meet the following criteria:

• The Applicant has NOT registered any legal entity in Japan yet.
• All taxes of the Applicant must be current and in good standing, with no outstanding tax liens or legal judgments, unless exempt.
• The Applicant’s business is currently active and has been legally operating in the domicile country.
• The Applicant poses no threats to public safety and welfare.
• The Applicant is not engaged in political, religious, or electoral activities as a business purpose.
• The Applicant does not fall under the category of a crime syndicate, nor does any representative, officer, employee, or other member of a corporation fall under the category of a crime syndicate member.

 

Note there will be a due-diligence check for eligibility.

 

Self-Report Items:

The Applicant shall notify the Attraction U Team immediately if there are:

• Serious violations of law or regulation.
• Serious violations of contracts with public institutions.

 

Agreements:

The Applicant shall agree to the following items:

• The Applicant agrees that the Attraction U Team will share information with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for reporting purposes, except written objections on specific matters.
• The Applicant agrees to keep smooth communication with the Attraction U Team about the business launching progress.
